PRISM: Intersectional Stigma and Black Gay, Bisexual & Other Men Who Have Sex with Men

 

 

The goal of this 2 year (2019 - 2021) mixed methods research study (QUAL → QUANT) is to: (1) develop and validate self-report measures of individual, community, and social-structural-level intersectional stigma; (2) develop objective/non-self-report measures of social-structural stigma; and (3) produce visualizations of spatial intersectional stigma for young Black GBMSM in Washington, DC and Jackson, MS. This study is funded by the National Institute of Mental Health/NIH (1 R21 MH121313-01).
